The Adorned Studios at Arc + Flame
The Adorned Studios has been operational since 2015 and has found a new home and partnership with Arc + Flame! This 700 sq/ft space is fully equipped with all of your metalsmithing needs, and offers a wide array of classes and workshops taught by professionals, ranging from fun, quick make and take style classes to advanced, long format workshops.
The Adorned Studios at Arc + Flame strives to create a safe, inviting working environment, built to support your educational experience, at any level! The goal of this space is to create a community space for motivated jewelers, whether emerging or professional, to learn, explore, and grow with each other along with the help of our dedicated teaching staff.
Membership
The Adorned Studios at Arc + Flame is a shared metalsmithing studio for motivated jewelers, whether emerging or professional. While our public classes are open to all, our membership based studio access is a bit more exclusive, and is contingent on prior metalsmithing experience. The membership experience is accessable through prior classes with one of our teachers or a portfolio review and interview with our management. Once verified that you are able to work safely and independently, you will be granted studio access (see rates below). Within the membership plan, we also offer guided open studio time where a teacher supervisor will be available for assistance and to answer any questions you may have.
Members have access to all studio tools and equipment after being trained on how to use them. A list of tools and equipment is available below. New members are required to attend a studio orientation and review a safety contract before working in the studio. Members are responsible for replacing or repairing materials and equipment that they damage.
Membership is $100 per year. This fee goes towards the purchase of materials for general studio use, as well as for the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment. Our members also receive discounts on classes, workshops, and events. This fee is a collective contribution to the maintenance of and access to the studio, and it is nonrefundable. All levels of studio use are available to our studio members. By becoming a member you will be able to access studio and locker space..
The application helps us to determine whether the work you are interested in making - i.e. fine jewelry, silver art objects or large scale steel sculpture - is appropriate for our space. It also ensures that those who work in the studio have been trained to do so, for the safety of everyone.
We are always accepting new member applications!
